Decking Screws Counter Sunk Type 17 has a sharply pointed design with a ribbed head for flush finish. It is specifically designed to withstand the expansion and contraction of decking boards. This point type is mainly used in self-drilling wood screws for hard timbers like hardwood. Its sharp point and flute cut-out enable flushing out wood chips and debris while drilling, thus reducing the overall torsion on the screw heads and driver. Additionally, it can be used for thin steel sheeting without pre-drilling e.g. fixing a roof and cladding sheets. It is treated with Alkaline Copper Quaternary (ACC), and its 500 pieces are available with a dimension of 10g x 50mm. They are known for being corrosion resistant, having a solid grip and smooth finish.
